PLR stands for Private Label Rights. What this means is that you can purchase the rights to sell and edit the product you are purchasing. Most common PLR products are articles , blog posts, and ebooks but software, scripts, and web designs are becoming increasing popular as well. You can claim the PLR product as your own without having to give the author credit.
One of the most popular ways to use PLR articles is to post the article on your blog. If you do this however, I would suggest you edit the article and make it your own. Rewrite the article to make it fit your blog niche and your voice. I use PLR articles as blog post ideas but completely rewrite the article. Why? It is a great jump starter for me when I can’t think of what to write. I already have the data and research in the PLR articles, all I have to do is take the same information and reword it to my normal style of writing. By rewriting the PLR article in to my own writing voice, my blog readers have no idea that I am using PLR, just that I am giving them great content.
Also when starting a new blog, PLR is a great way to get a lot of content quickly posted so that Google can start indexing your pages. Again, I would suggest changing the PLR articles you use to your personal style of writing, even when starting a new blog.
